"BestCities Global Alliance had the pleasure of working with Miriam on the BestCities Global Forum, which took place in Tokyo, Japan from 4-7 December 2017. The BestCities Global Alliance is a worldwide partnership of convention bureaux whose objective is to deliver the world's best convention bureau practices for the meetings industry. The Alliance comprises of members in Vancouver, Bogota, Cape Town, Copenhagen, Dubai, Edinburgh, Houston, Melbourne, Singapore, Tokyo, Madrid and Berlin. Its annual flagship event, the BestCities Global Forum, brings together the alliance members with international association executives for a four-day programme, packed with thought-provoking education sessions, networking opportunities and social/cultural events. The theme for the event in Tokyo was ‘Building Global Connections Across Borders’ and as such Miriam delivered two interactive sessions during the forum, one on cultural intelligence and a second on cultural dimensions, which were very well received by our audience. Not only was Miriam a pleasure to work with in the run up and preparation for the event, but onsite she was highly engaged with our participants which was instrumental in creating an open learning and sharing environment during the forum. We would highly recommend Miriam for any organisation wishing to improve cultural intelligence and understanding."
